The cave must not contain any enclosed shaded “islands”. In other words, every shaded cell must be connected (orthogonally) to the edge of the grid.

Each number shows the size of its cave region: the total number of unshaded cells connected to that numbered cell orthogonally (up, down, left, right), including the cell itself.
